The Falcon sets a new benchmark in the funboard category. Stable and buoyant, with a sexier shape and some performance hidden within the design, the Falcon is the perfect board for beginner-to-intermediates wanting a board that gets better as your skills improve.
OUTLINE: The wide point is forward to enhance trim stability from a central stance position, and the streamlined nose gives the outline a contemporary vibe. The back half of the board tapers steadily towards the tail for easier turning in smaller waves, and to heighten control in slightly larger waves.
CONTOURS: The rocker strikes a balance between paddle speed and just enough nose/tail lift for accessing steeper parts of the wave. Forward vee running to vee/double concave between the feet allows for very smooth rail transitions and a responsive feel when standing further back.
FOIL: Designed with plenty of volume through the spine for appropriate buoyancy and stability. The taper at the tips provides better performance sensitivity when riding on the wave face.
PERFORMANCE: The dual-purpose nature of the Falcon offers a stable and cruisy ride for surfers coming off a softboard or bigger longboard. Alternatively, more capable riders will find a surprising amount of speed a response when adopting a more aggressive approach.
Available in a broad size allocation in clear and tint options, the Modern Falcon is a reliable, and affordable board that will feature prominently in your quiver. Comes as a thruster with FCS II plugs and Performer Medium fins.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Construction
Polyester - PU
Polyester or PU construction uses traditional materials and laminating techniques to produce a strong, reliable surfboard with high quality finishes. All polyester boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand using quality components such as Hexcel fiberglass, Silmar resin and Bennett foam. For years traditional polyester boards have been at the forefront of performance surfing. These boards feature a progressive flex pattern controlled by a high-grade timber stringer and feel very reliable under your feet. Polyester construction will perform in all surf conditions and can be adapted to suit a wide variety of surfboard models. Great step down from a long board. Two plus 1 setup is fun.

I purchased this board for a 11 year old girl who was ready to leave her foamy behind and progress to a fibreglass board. It is the perfect stepping stone from soft top foam rides to catching open face waves and doing turns. She absolutely loves this board as it has boosted her confidence and strengthened her love for surfing.

Such a fun board! Very easy to catch waves and paddle. Incredibly responsive when turning. This is exactly the board I needed to build my confidence after returning to surfing after a good 5 years.

Beautiful board! My daughter loves it! She’s looking forward to getting it in the water soon

Really impressed with this board. I love my 9'1" long board for smaller days and 6'8" twin superfish when it gets bigger, but this is the perfect inbetweener. It's great to paddle onto flatter breaking waves and loves a peak/pitch. I bought the 7'6" and its got the perfect rocker for our small point days; all i have to do is pump the legs a bit after take off and the Falcon maximises the wave face. I still have the Modern Blackbird that preceded this board, but that's now in the rack, as the Falcon paddles better, glides nicely and turns so easily. Love it!

Bought 6'8 for my wife as a step down from a 7'6. Works perfectly easy to catch waves and very maneuverable. Spray looks great with the blue swirl and seems like a solid construction.

I bought this board in a 7’6 and after a few months of using it, I can say it’s the best board I’ve had yet. Paddling is easy, it turns beautifully but also takes steep drops really well. It’s great for those small 1-2 foot days when using a short board would be frustrating but is also great for bigger waves with more power. I absolutely love it and would recommend it in a heartbeat!

I have been surfing for over 30 years but over the last 3 years or so I have been really struggling, partly due to age (57) and being a bit overweight (98kg). I have tried many different boards in that time, and was at the point of nearly giving up, after going out day after day and not catching a single wave. I bought a 8'0 Falcon in March and things have really improved for me. The extra paddle power is really noticed, and yet it takes a steep drop so it provides the best of both worlds. The reviews are 100% spot on and when you put your weight on your back foot the thing really takes off into another mode. I have surfed it in 6ft pumping point break conditions, and in 2ft mushy waves and it's the only board I ride now.

You’re 15. You see the older kids surf. It looks fun. One of them let’s you have a go if you introduce them to your sister. You even get a wave. It’s short, but it’s a wave. You are happy.
You mow laws with your uncle’s Victa. You collect golf balls from the river and sell them back to the golfers. You pick more kiwi fruit than you ever thought possible. You save. You scrimp. You buy a board of your own. You are happy.
It’s hard. You look like a fool. You fall off. You get held under. You cut your foot on a fin. You get a wave. You get pushed along the glassy water by a giant, friendly thrust. Later, your mate tells you the wave went for 8 seconds. You thought it was closer to four hours. You don’t care. You can’t stop smiling. You are happy.
You keep surfing, but stuff keeps happening. You get old. You don’t mean to, but you do. You work, you have no time. You stop surfing. You meet a girl. Settle down. If you want, you can marry. Years later, you feel the warmth of your infant son on your chest. You can’t stop smiling. You are happy.
You think about what your son will do. What kind of man he will be. What will he learn from you? Will he learn to surf? From you? You better start again. You’re older. You’re slower. You will need a new board. You’re a dad now. Are you sure you don’t want to spend the weekends buying 18v cordless power tools? Bugger it. You buy a board. This board. You are happy.
You paddle out. It’s harder than you remember and you are slower than you believe. You don’t care. You see a wave. Its perfect. You feel the way you haven’t felt in ten years. You’re on it. You’re up. You’re no longer old. You’re no longer slow. You’re 15 again and the world opens out in front of you like an early morning sun, nothing but possibility. For you. Your son. For everyone. You are happy.
There is not a person in this world that has ever been happier than you at this moment.

Usually I ride a longboard, but I was looking for something to take out on those bigger punchier days. I Bought a 7'0" falcon and I am so glad that I did. Paddles like a dream and turns on a dime. I'm riding with 2 large side fins and a trailer fin in the centre to really loosen up the tail and it works wonders! Would recommend this board for almost everyone; For bigger guys (like myself) who are hoping to maximise their wave count, to intermediate surfers who want to ride a shortboard but don't want to sacrifice to much volume!

I still have and regularly surf the modern blackfish which is pretty much the previous morph of this board. Catches everything but is really rippable. Perfect mid size. Love it in a bit more size and handles chop really well. If this is half as good will be upgrading to this if the blackfish ever dies.

Love this board, makes surfing crappy waves fun would highly recommend. Mines a 6'4

Great board for small waves up to 3-4 ft. Got it in 7’6 and uses it with 2 fins to get it more turn and more fun! Am no beginner so I can say it would be great for beginners but is definitely good for intermediate :)
Go for it is my advice!!
Zach
Love this board. I got it in 7’6 and it still catches waves at mushy longboard spots, but it’s totally rippable when the waves have a little more push. Perfect for someone stepping down from a longer board or stepping up from a shortboard when the waves are smaller but you still want to do some turns.
