    The Critical Slide Penny Bunger takes surf mat riding up a level. With considered construction and a dedicated traction system, it’s made for riders who want more connection to their mat and more fun from every wave.

    At 116 × 65 cm, the Penny Bunger’s wide platform gives you room to find your position and shift your weight as you ride. A 210 denier nylon deck and 70 denier nylon bottom with TPU backing provides a flexible, durable construction, while our unique Silicone-printed grip panels for traction help keep you connected to the deck. This mat gives you confidence in the surf as you get comfortable and explore what the mat can do.

    You'll have plenty of simple fun from your first wave, with more to discover as your technique develops. Find your balance, experiment with your line and turn an ordinary beach day into a joyous session worth remembering.

    DO'S & DON"TS

    Do

    • Inflate by mouth only.
    • Fine-tune the pressure to suit the waves.
    • Lower the pressure slightly on hot days and between surfs.
    • Rinse with fresh water after use.
    • Dry fully before storage.
    • Roll the mat for storage.
    • Hold onto your mat on windy days.
    • Enjoy experimenting with pressure for speed, trim and control.

    Don't

    • Don't use a compressor or force air into the valve.
    • Don't over-inflate.
    • Don't leave the mat inflated in direct sun, on hot sand or in a hot car.
    • Don't fold it for long-term storage.
    • Don't place sharp or heavy objects on the mat.
    • Don't drag or ride it up onto the beach.
    • Don't use it carelessly around rocks, reef or coral.
    • Don't grip over the valve while riding or paddling out.

    CARE & MAINTENANCE

    How to look after your surf mat.

    • Inflate by mouth only. The spring-loaded valve allows for simple manual inflation. Press the button in the middle of the valve to release the air.
    • Start around 70–75% full, then adjust to the conditions. A slightly softer mat often feels faster and looser.
    • Let some air out when resting on the beach or when the day heats up. Remember, warm air expands. There is no over-pressure valve on a Surf Mat.
    • Rinse with fresh water after each surf.
    • Dry completely before packing away.
    • Roll the mat for storage. Do not fold it for long periods.
    • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
    • Keep sharp or heavy objects off the mat.
    • Avoid dragging it across rough ground or using it carelessly around rocks, reef or coral.
