Welcome to Feeling Swell Australia.

Back in 2022, we met brothers Brian and Eric Barr in Santa Monica, California, and quickly struck up a wonderful friendship. We were immediately drawn to their brand, Feeling Swell, but even more so to the story and meaning behind it. At its heart, Feeling Swell is about positivity, community and making the most of every day—even when life is not always easy.

The brand began after Hurricane Sandy devastated the Barr brothers’ local community. Seeing the impact on the people around them, Brian and Eric wanted to do something to help. They created their first Feeling Swell T-shirt and sold it through a much-loved local business, Mueller’s Bakery.

The response was immediate. People embraced the shirt, supported the cause and connected with the message.
From that first T-shirt, Feeling Swell continued to grow. The brothers began releasing more designs, supporting different causes and finding new ways to give back, while remaining true to the values that inspired them from the beginning.

As the brand evolved, so did its purpose. Drawing on their own experiences with mental health, Brian and Eric realised Feeling Swell could be much more than a clothing label. It could be a reminder to look after yourself, support the people around you and find the good in each day.

That message resonated strongly with us, we have always believed that life is better when you surf and Feeling Swell shares that same optimistic spirit: a belief that the ocean, friendship, community and a positive outlook can make life a little brighter.

We are proud to bring Feeling Swell to Australia and introduce the brand, its story and its message to a new community.
