About the 7S JetStream +

Derived from the more refined Slipstream of the past, the new 7S Jetstream+ is a true hybrid surfboard, both from a design perspective and by definition of its performance. Now with more volume under the chest for better paddling and overall usability, this ‘Performance All-Rounder’ will adapt to a range of conditions from mushy beach breaks to classic point waves.

OUTLINE: There’s more surface area up front compared to a regular shortboard, which is great for generating speed and acceleration when driving off your front foot. The back half resembles a traditional shortboard with a refined outline and a forgiving round tail for smooth, yet controlled rail transitions.

CONTOURS: Tried and tested around the global, the subtle single-to-double concave with vee out through the tail delivers a balance of speed and flow over flatter sections, and responsiveness in hollow waves.

ROCKER: Low-to-moderate entry rocker is designed to offer immediate acceleration from the take off, but still allow the board to fit into more critical parts of the wave. The relaxed tail rocker helps maintain down the line speed, and creates acceleration through the entire turning arc.

FOIL: Foiled just enough through the nose and tail so the board delivers a nice feeling of sensitivity. The performance rail profile completes the design package by adding a highly responsive feel when the board is carving on rail.

PERFORMANCE: Regarded as the most user-friendly hybrid model on the market, the 7S Jetstream+ is essentially designed to make performance surfing a little easier, and create a better approach to the way you ride waves.

Construction: Polyester (PU)

Polyester or PU construction uses traditional materials and laminating techniques to produce a strong, reliable surfboard with high quality finishes. All polyester boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand using quality components such as Hexcel fiberglass, Silmar resin and Bennett foam.
For years traditional polyester boards have been at the forefront of performance surfing. These boards feature a progressive flex pattern controlled by a high-grade timber stringer and feel very reliable under your feet. Polyester construction will perform in all surf conditions and can be adapted to suit a wide variety of surfboard models.

Board Contours: Single to Double Rolled Vee

I'm 47, just under 6 foot, 71KG and very much an intermediate surfer. My previous go-to was 32L. I bought the 36L 6'1 Jetstream+ so I could have a bit more volume and hopefully catch a few more waves. So far I've had 3 sessions with it and I'm super happy. It seems just as easy to turn as my old board, I can duck it just as easily, but it seems to pick up more waves and go better n the "slop". I haven't tried it in anything over 4 foot yet, but it seems to handle a steep take-off better than I expected and I can generate good speed on the face. Really feels like a great all-rounder that could handle most conditions. I would recommend this board to anyone looking for the elusive "1 board quiver". I doubt I'll be using my other boards much now.

Awesome review Luke. Thanks for taking the time to do it. We love the Jetstream +, great to hear you do as well.

I've been surfing for 18 years, surfed all over the world and have ridden pyzels, channel islands, dhd's, Bradley's and more and this goes just as good as any of them!
Goes sick when it's 1 foot and goes just as good when it's 6 foot (haven't had any bigger waves on it yet), the construction is holding up well and the performance is great! Paddles well, really fast off the take off, whippy through turns but also holds well when you put it on rail.
It is super buoyant which did take some getting used to but it's an excellent all rounder and if you're like me and don't wanna pay 1000 bucks for a big name shaper, this thing is just as good!
I'm 28, 181 cm and about 94 kgs and I got this board in a 5'11.

I have had several 7S boards, including the Slipstream (early Jetstream) and Hook. Both models are great and share similar rockers etc, making for easy transitions between 7S models. They paddle well for the average punter and perform well in a wide range of waves = reliable & fun.

Have been surfing for just over a year(but nearly every day) and this is my favorite board so far.
Have used it i small conditions to over head high and it works in everything. It is stable, quick, turns well and just feels really nice. Desent amount of foam under the chest so it catches plenty of waves
Im 190cm, 90kg and have the 6,6-42L.

Stoked on the shape! Glass feels solid and good weight! The board paddles well and is very responsive for how much volume it has. I don’t paddle like O did in my teens and 20’s. This board is keeping me from going to a mal.

I bought board in a 6’6” as a transition into shortboarding. Was previously on a 7’3 fish around 53L. After just a few sessions I was able to comfortably ride and pop up on waves. The extra volume is very nice, and it feels fast down the line. 10/10 would recommend especially if you are downsizing in boarding. Great addition to the quiver.

bought the 6 9 as am in my 60s and needed a board that floats well and is easy too paddle
and am not yet ready for a mal this board ticked all the boxes easy paddling and easy to catch waves

P
P.S.

I recently purchased a 6’9 after not surfing for nearly a decade. I chose this board as I hired it as I tried surfing my old boards again and I couldn’t catch any waves and it wasn’t floating me as I gained weight. As soon as paddled this board I knew I was going to love surfing it. I found it easy to paddle and a lot easier to catch waves. The board surfed brilliantly. Rail to rail and snappy turns. I’ll recommend this board to anyone. I will be buying again from global industries. Love this board!! Thanks 😊

I have the earlier version of this board in 6’6. It is so much fun! It’s easy to paddle and draws really nice lines.

I bought the Slipstream a few years back and it has performed nicely. I experimented with different fins and they really make a big difference so now I've got one board that will adapt to different conditions or riding style with a quick change of fins. The Jetstream is a few more litres in volume and this difference between models would be even better suited to my weight/age/abilities. I really like the board and recommend it.

I have the older model and not only is it a great board but it’s a really good board to travel with, nice and light and durable.

Sadly creased the first Jetstream second surf on a big day. GSI were great and discounted a second. My Jetstream is the model before the new one but is my go to board. Easy to paddle but superfast and transitions perfect. It was great in the Tullamarine tub (urbn surf). Recommend highly. The glass job and look of the board is great too
