The 7S Double Down aims to increase your wave count and improve your small wave game. This is the flattest surfboard in the 7S range, and it has the highest volume per size ratio. For these reasons, it’s fast, has plenty of flow, and is the perfect weapon for fatter, sub-par conditions.

OUTLINE: The nose and tail dimensions at 12″ are the same, creating a larger sweet spot, and a more stable planning zone. The full nose further adds to the stability, and the ‘Corner Round’ tail allows the width to extend further back, while still achieving the smooth transitions between turns that a round tail is famous for.
ROCKER: With an emphasis on everyday conditions; flat equals flow, so the Double Down will slide into waves with ease, and maintain its speed over dead sections with minimal effort. Slight lift in the nose and tail will satisfy the more experienced rider looking for a summer groveller.
CONTOURS: Subtle yet effective, the slight concave up front creates lift when taking off, then a double concave starting in the mid zone leads into a shallow rolled vee off the tail. This bottom combination maintains exceptional speed in softer waves, yet provides a nice balance of control versus quick turning response when pivoting right off the tail.
PERFORMANCE: The Double Down is fast off the mark, and super easy to turn. Think summer beach breaks or soft point waves where you need a board with enough foam and buoyancy to get you going, but don’t want to restrict how you want to perform on a wave. We suggest riding this board will bigger side fins, and a smaller centre fin.

Paddles great with nice thickness under the chest, responsive, good drive, gets over flat spots, comfy in the pocket. A really fun board !
I'm a 6'2'', 180lbs guy in my 30s, getting back to surfing after a 10 year hiatus. After riding a Torq 8'0 67L for 3 months straight on the US East Coast, switching to a 6'2'' 41L was a challenge and took me around 10 days to get accustomed to balancing, popping up, finding your sweet spot etc.
But once I nailed it down, boy is this board fun. I had just enough time to practice for these hurricane swells and I'm glad I did the jump down in time.
Also catches 0-3fters perfectly, if you are willing to paddle a little harder at first, but catches a lot of speed/glide once you get picked up by the wave.
The board feels like a Fish at the nose with high volume at the chest for an easy paddle (I went slightly oversized compared to the dim/weight reco), and feels like a smooth thruster at the tail.
Would recommend strongly for a first Shortboard.
Only downsides would be delivery price and rail thickness (but they need to fit the volume somewhere, ha). Try to find it in a local retailer I guess.
Great board for mushy waves. Goes through flats with tons of speed and easy to turn. I wish I can upload a video. I just posted a screenshot of the Surfline camera from this morning.
This board saved me from all small and crowded days. Doesn’t matter how many people are in the water you are going to be that guys catching wave after wave. It increased my wave count dramatically 👌🤙

Love my 7S Double Down!!! So stoked on it and the level of service your company provided and the delivery was insane! Order my board at 8pm at night and the board was at my front door by 11:30am the next day. Now the board surfs great as well. Been surfing ever since I was a kid. I am 47 now, 6'1" and 205 lbs. I went with the 6'0" and went with Mark Richard 2 and 1 (small trailer) fin setup. The board is extremely fast and turns on a dime! Surfed it in dump beach breaks of San Clemente and Surfed it at Trestles as well. Board worked great in both environments... Highly recommend this board and working with Global Surf Industries!!! Board has been super fun in small surf 2-4ft! It can manage bigger surf as well. Turns nice and it super easy to paddle into waves. I have the recommended setup with the small stabilizer fin in the back thruster. holds nice in the pocket. Get this board, you won't regret it 🤙

The DD paddles great. The maneuverability is excellent considering the volume and how flat the board is. The build in tail helps a lot with turn engagement. I feel the board's best attribute is the speed. It also cuts through chop really well. I have it set up as a twin fin with a small trailer and it feels spot on.
The PU construction cuts through wind chop really well.
I cannot recommend this board enough.

I actually borrowed a friends DD. It was 5.8 and about 33 or so litres. I am about 80 kgs and it felt spot on for me. What I loved about this board was that, not only did it deliver on paddle power and up my wave count as promised (getting around the lineup, even with a decent southerly sweep running, was pretty easy work) , but it flew through dead sections while maintaining lots of pivot in that tail. at 5.8, It could fit it into small pockets nicely. The rails also knifed nicely when surfing well off the back foot. Yeh, I loved it.
This board does it all. Easy paddling, responsive and most importantly fun!
I love this board. I am a beginner and mum, so don’t get out heaps but love that I can easily paddle onto waves with this board. My husband loves it too and constantly steals it!
